Privacy Policy

Your therapy sessions are always confidential, unless your therapist becomes aware that there is imminent danger to yourself, a minor, or a vulnerable adult, or if a minor has witnessed domestic violence. Michele is a mandated reporter for such situations and will work with you through the reporting process if a report is needed.

Please be aware that if you leave a google review, it is a voluntary action. There is no pressure to do so. If you would like to leave a review, you are making the decision to display your personal information (name, experience, etc.) at your own will (unless posting anonymously).

Cultural humility is at the forefront of our practice. Michele has received trainings and has studied what it means to be culturally humble, and Michele works to provide therapeutic services to all individuals through an intersectional lens. This means that a person’s culture and diverse identities and experiences are conceptualized with the knowledge that these identities come together to make you the unique person that you are.

Email communications are done through a secure and encrypted database to protect your personal information and maintain your confidentiality.

During the intake session, there will be additional conversations regarding the above privacy practices and paperwork for you to review and sign. Your understanding of your rights is Michele’s first priority.
